2.2.2.4 Safety
Various safety devices are available as options:
o
Photoelectric barriers
that, when interrupted, automatically stop the closing
operation of the barrier. Immediate automatic reopening of the barrier is possible.
o
Safety pressure strips
on the barrier boom protect against the boom colliding with
an obstacle.
o
A
hold-to-run (dead-man) control system
prevents any unattended closing of the
barrier.
o
Traffic lights
control the directions of passage.
o
Rotating beacons
provide advance warning.
o
Manual operation
is possible at all times by means of a hand crank, e.g. in case of
a power loss.
