Appendix A: Serial Install System Changes
This appendix explains the changes that are made to system files or registries during installation of
the 594M in serial mode. It also explains how to make the changes manually if you chose not to have
them made automatically during installation.
Windows 95/98
1.
The file wcscdrv.386 was copied to specified 594M directory during installation.
Example: c:\594up\wcsccdrv.386
2.
Add the following lines to the [386Enh] section of the system.ini.
WCSCMaxPorts = 4
WCSCInBufLen = 2048
WCSCOutBufLen = 2048
WCSCInBufHigh = 1792
WCSCInBufLow = 256
device=c:\594up\wcsccdrv.386

Windows NT
1.
The file wcsccdrv.sys was copied to <Drive>:\<NT_DIR>\system32\drivers during
installation
Example: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\wcsccdrv.sys
2.
Create the following registry key:
HEKY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wcsccdrv
