Changing the batteries
Rear battery
8.
Loosen the two screws and lift the
chassis rear plate, with the electro-
nics and main fuse, turn the plate
upside down and sideways without
removing the security wire, see fig.
below.

Loosen the battery terminals. Also
see the sticker on the rear cover.
10.
Lift/pull the battery out using the
battery strap.
11.
Lift/push the new battery in to the
chassis using the battery strap.
12.
Connect the battery terminals on
the new battery. Also see the sticker
on the chassis rear cover.
13.
Remount the chassis rear plate and
the rear cover.
14.
Remount the chassis top cover.
The security wire fitted between the chassi and
the plate must not be removed, as this could
lead to a short-circuit.
Observe care in the use of metallic objects
when working with batteries. A short-circuit can
easily cause an explosion. Always use protec-
tive gloves and protective eye-glasses.
The batteries are heavy and must be han-
dled with care.
Used or broken drive batteries should be taken
care of in an environmentally correct manner
in accordance with locally applicable recycling
directions.
The chassis rear plate is fitted
with two screws.
