WARNINGS!
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
LPG OR NATURAL GAS (CH4) detectors contribute to guaranteeing the safety of civil premises in which gas-powered domestic
appliances such as boilers, cookers and boilers, are installed.
Main technical innovations:
• Appliances operated by microprocessor controlled circuit with self-diagnosis capability, which ensures the perfect long-term efficiency of the
sensor.
• Sensor fitted with a special selective filter to prevent alarms caused by the presence of gas vapours not requiring detection, such as cooking
vapours, vapours from cleaning liquids, etc.
• Appliances equipped with an operating time counter which warns that the product must be replaced after 5 years from connection.
• LEDs indicating the progressive build-up of gas on the premises. LED indicators and alarm buzzer indicate the presence of gas
concentrations in the air which are significantly below the lower explosive limit (LEL).
• TEST system for checking that the appliance is working correctly.
• The gas detectors are equipped with an output relay which controls a gas supply shut-off valve. The appliances are also fitted with a BUS
system for application as a main unit connected to peripheral units, for the global protection of individual residences and the entire building.
• Read the instruction booklet carefully before using the product, since it provides important information regarding safety, use and
maintenance. Keep the booklet in a safe place for future reference.
• The installation and electrical connection of gas detectors and appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel and in compliance with
standards and laws in force. Adequate positioning is essential for the optimum functioning of the detector: carefully follow the indications
provided in chapter “
” for increased accuracy and to prevent the occurrence of false alarms.
1.i - Installation Operations
• The appliance is suitable only for applications in household or similar environments. For applications in special environments, see specific
environmental standards. The appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed and any other use is considered
improper. The manufacturer declines any responsibility for injury or damage to persons, animals or property as a result of improper use.
• Unpack the product from its box and ensure that it is complete.
• Before connecting the appliance, ensure correspondence between the product rating plate and the mains electricity/gas supply rating
plates.
MAINTENANCE
• On a periodic basis (every 6 months), the user must carry out a TEST using the selector (follow the instructions in chapter 5.i), in order
to ensure the long-term efficiency of the detector. It is advisable to arrange for a more detailed check to be carried out on an annual
basis by specialist personnel.
• Five years after installation, the detector must be taken out of service by qualified personnel.
