REACTIVE LIGHTING technology

The lamp features REACTIVE LIGHTING technology. The lamp’s

integrated light sensor instantly and automatically adapts the shape

and power of the beam. REACTIVE LIGHTING technology gives you

the benefit of optimal lighting for your activities.

For biking, use your lamp with CONSTANT LIGHTING technology

(risk of switching off with REACTIVE LIGHTING technology).

Before the first use of your lamp

1. Connect the rechargeable battery.

2. Charge the battery completely

The rechargeable battery is delivered with a 30 % charge.

3. Connect the rechargeable battery case.

Lamp operation

Switching on & off, selecting

The knob works in two ways:

- short pulse: turn and release,

- long hold: turn, hold several seconds depending on the desired

function, then release.

When you turn on the light, it automatically lights up in REACTIVE

LIGHTING mode. When switching between REACTIVE and

CONSTANT technologies, the lamp always turns on in MAX

AUTONOMY mode.

In REACTIVE LIGHTING mode, when the sensor detects an area

with sufficient light, your lamp will blink dimly for two minutes, then

automatically turn off to conserve rechargeable battery life.

Attention: the rear red light, steady or strobe, is activated and

deactivated only via the MyPetzl Light app.

Attention, the LOCK position does not turn off the lamp: be sure to

turn it off before using the LOCK.

Restore the initial Petzl settings by a long hold of 30 seconds, with

the lamp turned off.

Charging the rechargeable battery

The lamp comes with a Petzl Li-Ion rechargeable battery. Capacity:

2600 mAh

Charge it completely before the first use.

Use only a Petzl ACCU NAO + rechargeable battery.

In general, Li-Ion rechargeable batteries lose 10 % of their capacity

each year. After 300 charge/discharge cycles, they still have about

70 % of their initial capacity.

Warning, though this lamp is constructed of high quality plastics, they

can become brittle at extreme temperatures.

Charging the battery

Recharge only with a USB cable of less than 3 meters in length. The

charger’s output voltage must not exceed 5 V. Use only a CE/UL

approved charger.

The USB external power supply connected to your product must be

a SELV type and be a limited power source as defined in chapters

2.2 and 2.5 of the standards IEC 60950-1 ed.2.2 and EN 60950-1 :

2006+A11 : 2009+A1 : 2010+A12 : 2011+A2 : 2013.

When charging, the power plug should remain easily accessible.

It is recommended to regularly charge your rechargeable battery

completely in order to optimize the lamp’s performance.

Recharge time

Recharge time is 6 hours with the USB charger, or a computer.

Attention, if many USB devices are connected to your computer, the

charging time can increase (up to 24 hours).

During charging, the three bars on the energy gauge will blink.

Charging is done when the three bars are lit.

Energy gauge

The energy gauge lights for 10 seconds when your lamp is switched

on or off.

When the last bar begins to blink, the lamp emits a light signal to

indicate that it is in reserve mode (approximately 1 hour).

Replacing the rechargeable battery

Use only a Petzl ACCU NAO + rechargeable battery. Using another

type of rechargeable battery can damage your lamp. Do not use

another type of rechargeable battery.

Attention, when you unplug and then plug-in a rechargeable battery

(only when changing the battery stick itself), do a complete recharge

to reset the energy gauge.

Do not combine components from different generations

(lamp case, battery case and rechargeable battery), as

this can degrade your lamp’s performance.
