4. Designated use and
technical data
pewag levo clamps LC are designed exclusively for the lifting
and transporting of loads, which may be lifted and lowered
via radio control. The system is a connecting link between the
crane hook and the load and/or the lifting device.
4.1 pewag levo clamp LC
Load
The pewag levo clamp LC can only be used in an oblique
angle in case of tilting movements. The lifting process itself
may only be done in a vertical direction (fig. 1). It neither must
not exceed the indicated working load limit, nor fell below the
indicated minimum load of 10 % of the working load limit.
Operating temperature
The long-term permitted operating temperature range for the
basic set is -20 °C to +60 °C (- 4 °F to + 140 °F).
Shock-loading
The pewag levo clamp LC may only be loaded vertically
and must not be subject to shock-loading. Collisions of the
suspended pewag levo clamp LC of any kind (when under load
or when not under load) are not permitted.
Protection class
IP 65 (except for radio control, charging station and
multi- adapter).
Safety factor against break
4:1 or 5:1 (Japan).
Design category
Acc. to ASME BTH-1 the pewag levo clamp LC is classified as
Design Category B and service class 0.

4.5 Labelling and identification
On the casing side of the pewag levo clamp LC, there is an
identification plate with the following information:
• Model.
• Year of construction.
• Serial number.
• Load capacity.
• Minimum load.
• CE marking.
• Jaw-width
• Manufacturer.
The information on the identification plate must be legible at all
times. If the safety stickers are not legible any more or missing
completely, they have to be replaced.
4.6 Restrictions on use
As a result of adverse environmental conditions and/or
hazardous conditions, the following restrictions on the use of the
pewag levo clamps LC and its accessories (battery, charging
station, multi-loader) may apply:
pewag levo clamps LC are not suitable for use with food products,
cosmetic or pharmaceutical products or with strongly corrosive
substances (e.g. acids, sewage water ...). They are not suitable for
