levo hook slowly until the lifting eye has automatically reached
the position shown in the picture. Close the swivel hook and
continue with the lifting process. The lifting operation must not
be performed when the swivel hook is open. Make sure that the
lifting eye is safely positioned at the bearing area.
6.2 Light module
The LED of the light module is positioned just above the
(closed) swivel hook. It is activated/deactivated using the levo
remote radio control. With the light module, the working area is
fully illuminated when the swivel hook is open. To save energy,
the light will deactivate automatically after a pre-set period of
10 seconds. This setting may be changed via the pewag levo
manager software (see chapter 6.5).
6.3 Weighing module
A weighing module that may be integrated in the attachment
mechanism enables the user to track the weight development
of the individual lifting processes, in combination with the
pewag levo manager software. This eliminates the need for
a separate crane scale. It is also possible to define a weight
range in levo manager. If this weight range is exceeded or
not reached, a warning message appears on the screen. It is
therefore no longer possible to overload the pewag levo hook
unintentionally, making the application safer for both the user
and the load. Please note that this weighing module cannot be
calibrated.
6.4 Multi-adapter and end piece
If several batteries and charging stations are used, it makes
sense to link the individual charging stations with the pewag
multi-adapter. This eliminates the need of connecting each
individual charging station with a socket using a cable. The
pewag multi-adapter makes it possible to operate up to ten
charging stations in one line with a single device plug.
You will need one multi-adapter per charging station. Connect
the adapters with each other and then connect the charging
stations with the multi-adapter (maximum of 10 in line!)
In addition, there is also an end piece for the multi-adapter that
constitutes the end cover on the last multi-adapter.
6.5 pewag levo manager
The optional pewag levo manager software is a comprehensive
configuration and analysis tool for the levo hook. Among
others, the programme offers the following options:
• Connection of several hooks and radio controls at the same
time
• Formation of hook groups
• Weighing and taring function with alarm feature
• Temperature control monitoring with data logging
• Configuration of weighing and temperature ranges
• Export and import functions of hook configurations
For a detailed list of the individual functions of the levo
manager, please contact your supplier or read the respective
manual. The software must be installed on a Windows PC or
laptop.
6.6 pewag levo manager USB Dongle
The levo manager USB Dongle is
required for the communication
between the hook/radio control
unit and the pewag levo manager
software. Wireless communication
is set up by connecting the device
to the USB port of a Windows
computer. For more information,
please consult the levo manager
manual.
6.7 pewag levo hook data logger
A data logger is a processor-controlled storage unit that
records certain data via an interface and stores it in a storage
medium.
The levo data logger has the option of recording data from the
weighing module as well as further data (see handbook pewag
levo manager).
Data transfer and configurations of the weighing module are
also possible in combination with these optional add-ons:
• Weighing module (see section 6.3)
• levo manager software (see section 6.5)
• levo manager USB dongle (see section 6.6)
This data may be used for evaluations and statistics.
7. Attaching and lifting the load
7.1 Attachment mechanism
The attachment mechanism in the upper part of the levo hook
is pivoted. By using the foldable clips (shown in red in fig.
12), it is possible to lock the attachment mechanism in one
position, securing it against turning. To do this, lift up the clips.
The attachment mechanism may be locked at 45° intervals. To
release the lock, fold down the clips.
