pewag levo hook
EN
After assembly, always check that the safety catch is movable
and springs back into a vertical position on its own accord from
both directions. If this is not the case, it is likely that spring leg
6
was not inserted into the hook drill hole
7
. Take the safety
catch to pieces and re-assemble correctly.
9.4 Exchanging the safety catch
counter piece
Please note that the safety catch counter piece may only
be exchanged if your pewag levo hook was NOT fitted with
the optional magnetic module. If your pewag levo hook has
been fitted with the magnetic module, please refer to an
authorised pewag service provider.
To exchange the safety catch counter piece, remove both
screws
1
with a torx wrench and pull off the counter piece
2
(fig. 18). To re-fit the counter piece, follow these steps
in reverse order. Use a small amount of medium-strength
threadlock for the screws (e.g. Loctite type 243)
Always check whether the safety catch rests properly on the
support of the counter piece.
9.5 Exchanging the flaps on the
attachment mechanism
If the flaps or parts thereof are damaged or missing, they may
be replaced as follows:
• Use a pin punch and hammer to knock out the pin of the
flap.
• Remove the flap and also the spring if it shows signs of
damage.
• Insert a new spring and flap.
• Carefully knock in the pin. Always make sure that the pin is
knocked in far enough so that it has the same distance from
the opening on both sides. It is not enough for the pin to be
flush with the attachment mechanism!
