27.1 Safety instructions for transport
Improper transport
CAUTION!
Damages due to improper transport!
Improper transportation can lead to
considerable material damages.
– Exercise caution while unloading the packed
components as well as during in-house
transportation, and observe the symbols and
instructions on the package.
– Use only the provided lifting positions.
– Remove the packages only just before
installation.
Floating loads
WARNING!
Danger to life from floating loads!
While lifting loads, falling or uncontrolled
swiveling components pose danger to life.
– Never stand under unstable loads.
– Observe the specifications of the provided
tying points.
– Do not lift loads at projecting machine
components or components attached to lugs,
and ensure a stable base the tying
resources.
– Use only approved lifting devices and tying
resources
having
adequate
supporting
capacity.
– Do not use torn or damaged ropes and belts.
– Do not place ropes and belts on sharp edges
and corners, do not tie and do not turn.
27.2 Transport inspection
Immediately after receipt, check to ensure that the delivery is
complete and free of transport damages.
Proceed as follows if there are externally identifiable
transportation damages:
Do not accept delivery or accept delivery only under
reservation.
Mention the scope of damage on the transport documents
or on the delivery receipt of the transport agency.
