How to Replace Cartridges
Refer to picture #1 and #2.
RO filters must be replaced from the front of the cabinet, which is the control panel
side. Carbon and DI filters must be replaced from the rear of the cabinet, which is op-
posite the control panel. We make this recommendation based on the convenience
of the plumbing placement. When replacing RO, DI or Carbon cartridges the end of
the cartridge that contains the o-ring is inserted last because it is a one way o-ring.
DO NOT insert the end with the o-ring first as this will cause water to flow around the
cartridge rather than through it. SPECIAL NOTE FOR VAN OWNERS: When maintain-
ing or replacing your cartridges you may need to remove the top Phantom bracket
to expose the cartridge housings. This will allow you to rotate the cartridge housing
upwards to give clearance to remove and replace your cartridge.

How to Flush RO Filters

Manual System:

Open the back flush valve.
ʼn
Turn your water supply on and allow water to run through the machine for
about 10 minutes.
ʼn
Turn off the water supply.
ʼn
Close the back flush valve to return to normal operating position.

Powered System:
ʼn
Fill the raw water tank until it is at least 90% full.
ʼn
Open the back flush valve.
ʼn
Turn power to number one (fill pump). Allow water to run through the ma-
chine for about 10 minutes. *If the pump doesn’t turn on your pure water
tank may be full.
ʼn
Turn power off.
ʼn
Close the back flush valve to return to normal operating position.

Auto System:
ʼn
Fill the raw water tank until it is at least 90% full.
ʼn
Open the back flush valve.
ʼn
Turn the controller on. *If the pump doesn’t turn on your pure water tank
may be full.
ʼn
Press and hold the up and down arrows to enter FILL mode. Allow water to
run through the machine for about 10 minutes.
ʼn
Close the back flush valve to return to normal operating position.
