CD-Rewritable Playback

Philips has introduced CD recording as a
mainstream consumer audio application.
With the Philips CD-Recorders it is
possible to record CD-R discs (recordable,
write once) and CD-RW discs (rewritable,
erasable). CD-R discs are fully compatible
with the CD standard, and can therefore
be played back on any CD player. CD-RW
(rewritable) discs have a lower surface
reflectance than standard CD's and
therefore cannot be played by all today's
CD players. Our new range of CD
products offer CD Rewritable Playback.
These players are recognised by the "CD
Rewritable Playback Compatible" logo.
