4.5 Link module
The Link Module is able to receive oximetry data and transfer it to the therapy device for home use or in a
laboratory setting. For use in a laboratory setting, the Link Module also includes an RS-232 (or “DB9”) port
to allow remote control of the DreamStation BiPAP autoSV device by a personal computer.

Please consult the instructions that accompany the Link Module for installation and removal.
There are no SpO
2
alarms available.
Dispose of the module following the same disposal instructions for your therapy device.
Warnings
If you notice any unexplained changes in the performance of this device, if it has been dropped
or mishandled, if water is spilled into the enclosure, or if the enclosure is broken, discontinue use.
Contact your home care provider.
Repairs and adjustments must be performed by Philips Respironics-authorized service personnel
only. Unauthorized service could cause injury, invalidate the warranty, or result in costly damage.
Do not use any accessories, detachable parts, and materials not recommended by Philips
Respironics. Incompatible parts or accessories can result in degraded performance.
4.6 Oximeter
The DreamStation oximetry system, when part of the DreamStation BiPAP autoSV device, measures and
displays %SpO
2
and heart rate in adult patients.
Warning
Use only Philips Respironics recommended SpO
2
cables and pulse oximeter sensors. Use of
incompatible sensors can result in inaccurate pulse oximeter performance.
4.7 Philips Respironics proprietary compliance software
You can use the Philips Respironics proprietary compliance software to download prescription data from
the SD card to a computer. It can be used by clinicians to receive and report stored data from the SD card.
4.8 Roll stand
There is a roll stand available for use with your BiPAP autoSV device. Please see the instructions included
with your roll stand for more information.
