Parental Control Password 27
Parental Control limits viewing of Discs that exceed the limits you set.
This feature will not limit viewing if the Disc manufacturer did not code
the Disc. Philips cannot guarantee the availability of Parental Control
with all Discs, and therefore denies any liability associated with
unintended watching of Discs. Make sure your Discs play according
to your Parental Control settings before you allow children access to the
Player or Discs.
You will need a four-digit password to change the Parental Control or to
play blocked Discs.To set a password, follow these steps.

Press Stop

twice to stop play completely.

Press SYSTEM MENU.

Press OK repeatedly to select the DVD SETUP menu.

repeatedly to select “– – – –” beside PASSWORD.
You can select PASSWORD only if Disc play is stopped
completely.

Use the Number buttons to enter a four-digit password.
A
series of asterisks (*) will show on the screen instead of your
password.This protects its identity.
●
When setting a new password, you must enter it twice.
“CHANGE OK” will appear briefly beside PASSWORD.This
indicates the new password is set.
●
If you enter an incorrect password,
“
ERROR” will appear
briefly.Try again with the correct password.
●
Write down your password in the chart below so you
can remember it later. Also write the date you assigned the
password.

Press SYSTEM MENU to remove the menus.
• The default password is 3351.
You can use 3351 if you cannot
remember your own personal
password.
