Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.

Never immerse the appliance in water.

Do not insert oversized foods and metal foil packages into the toaster, as this may cause ire or
electric shock.

Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 or above and by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
instructions in safe use of the appliance or supervision to establish safe use and if they have
been made aware of the hazards involved.

Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

Keep the appliance and its mains cord out of the reach of children younger than 8 when the
appliance is switched on or is cooling down.

Children are only allowed to clean the appliance under supervision.

Do not let the appliance operate unattended.

Do not operate the appliance under or near curtains or other lammable materials or under
wall cabinets, as this may cause ire.

Do not place the dust cover or any other object on top of the toaster when the toaster is
switched on or when it is still hot, as this can cause damage or ire.

To avoid the risk of ire, frequently remove crumbs from the crumb tray. Make sure the crumb
tray is correctly placed.

Immediately unplug the toaster if ire or smoke is observed.

Keep the mains cord away from hot surfaces.

Never connect the appliance to an external timer switch in order to avoid a hazardous situation.

If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualiied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance is only intended for toasting bread. Do not put any other ingredients in the
appliance, as this may lead to a hazardous situation.
