ISDN connection
Your multifunctional device is not an ISDN de-
vice (group 4), but an analogue machine (group
3). Therefore it cannot be used directly on an
ISDN connection. You will need an (analogue)
adapter or an ISDN connection for analogue de-
vices. For further information please refer to your
ISDN instructions.

terminals must be SMS-compatible.
Network type (PABX)
Private branch exchange systems are very com-
mon in large companies. To get a connection
from a private branch exchange to the public
network you have to dial a key to obtain the
outside line.
An additional telephone connected to a normal
telephone line together with your MF-JET 495
must not be confused with a private branch ex-
change.
If you connect the MF-JET 495 to a PABX, you
can set the pre

x for an outside line.
