VCR Record

In VCR Mode (including punch-through), the Record button has to be pressed

twice before the command is sent. This is also true if a VCR type is

programmed under any other Mode. The exceptions are for

DVD and SA

T codes where the Record button transmits the

command after only a single press of the Record button. In

any CD/Audio Mode, the Record button must also be

pressed twice.

LCD Panel and Backlight On-T

ime

The LCD Panel and Backlighting remain on for a user-

selectable time period (10, 20, 30,……90 seconds). The

power-on default is 10 seconds from the last button press.

 change the LCD/Backlight On-time:

1.

Press and hold the Code Search button until the LED

remains on (after approximately 2-3 seconds) and the Main Setup Screen is

shown.

2.

Release the Code Search button.

3.

Press the Code Search button again, and release.

4.

Press and release a digit key 1-9

(1=10 seconds, 2=20 seconds, etc.). The LED blinks.

5.

Press and release 

ENTER

(or Mute on the rubber

keypad) to save the setting.

The display shows the Main Setup Screen.

6.

Press 

QUIT

.

LCD/Backlight On-time setting is now complete.

INPUT LCD Key

The 

INPUT 

button performs the TV/VCR antenna switch function when in

VCR Mode.

The 

INPUT 

button performs the A.B switch function when in Cable Mode.

The 

INPUT 

button performs the TV/SA

T switch function when in SA

T Mode.

The 

INPUT 

button performs the Input source switch function when in TV

Mode.

The 

INPUT 

button performs nonspecific functions when in CD/Audio Mode.

TV/VCR and TV/DVD Combo units

Note that for some TV/VCR and TV/DVD combo units you might need to set

up two dif

ferent buttons to control both parts of the combo unit. E.G., (refer-

ring to the  Direct Code Entry section on page 10) you might need to set up a

code under the TV button to control the TV part of the combo unit AND a

separate code for the VCR or DVD under any other button you choose.

When any button is pressed, an audible beep is heard to acknowledge the

button press. This beep can be toggled on or of
