Voice-activated Recording (VA)
Recording stops if nothing is dictated for two seconds (the Record LED
goes out); recording restarts automatically at the next sound input (the Record
LED lights up).
When dictating from a large distance to the Pocket Memo, e.g. when record-
ing a conference or a meeting, switch to Conference mode ( CONF)
Note:
Improper use of this feature may cause a malfunction of the machine.
Please ensure that for normal dictation purposes the “OFF” position
for VA is selected.
Cassette Compartment
Record/Battery LED (REC/BATT)
The LED lights up to indicate Recording mode.
If not: Check/Replace batteries.
When the batteries get low, the Pocket Memo will give a short audio warning
tone at the Stop/Start of a recording.
Index Button
Press to set End-of-Letter or End-of-Message.
Pressing the Index button twice assigns Priority to the letter or to any
recorded message.
In Stop mode, pressing the Index button twice resets the tape counter.

Fast Forward with listen-in control
Playback
Stop (Pause)
Fast Rewind with listen-in control
Earphone Socket (EAR)
Connect an earphone for discreet listening or an acoustic coupler LFH 0163
for telephone transmission.
