The front of the set

STANDBY

Standby

This switches off the set. If you press STANDBY

, it will automatically cancel

any menu you have chosen and will stop TIMER recording.

RECORD

Record

This records the TV channel you have selected at that moment.

PROGRAMME

Programme number plus

This changes to the next numbered programme (for example,

2 to 3).

PROGRAMME

Programme number minus

This changes to the previous numbered programme (for

example, 3 to 2).

PLAY

Playback

This plays a recorded cassette.

STOP/EJECT

Pause and stop

This stops the tape, except during TIMER recording. If you press it again, it

ejects the tape.

STILL

Still picture

This stops the tape and shows the picture at that moment as a still picture.

Rotary control

Turn the control left: If you have pressed STOP or STANDBY, this rewinds

the cassette. If you have pressed PLAY, this scans the picture in reverse.

Turn the control right: If you have pressed STOP or STANDBY, this winds the cassette on.

If you have pressed PLAY, this scans the picture forward.

Behind the flap on the left

MIC.

Microphone input socket

This is to connect a microphone for dubbing.

PHONES

Headphones socket

This is to connect headphones.

L-AUDIO-R

Audio input socket left/right

This is to connect the audio sockets of a camera recorder or

video recorder.

VIDEO

Video input socket

This is to connect the video sockets of a camera recorder or video

recorder.

SYNCHRO EDIT

EDIT input socket

This is to connect a suitable camera recorder.

MANUAL

Manual sound control

This is to switch between automatic sound control and manual

sound control.

The back of the set

Mains socket

This is to connect the mains cable.

AUX IN L R

Audio input sockets, left and right

This is to connect a hifi set.

AUX OUT L R

Audio output sockets, left and right

This is also to connect a hifi set.

AV1 EXT1

Scart socket 1

This is to connect the TV set to the video recorder.

AV2 EXT2

Scart socket 2

This is to connect a satellite receiver, decoder, video recorder and so on.

Aerial input socket

This is to connect the aerial cable.

Aerial output socket

This is to connect the aerial cable from the TV set.
