Module installation
The module is supplied via an external power supply unit with 24 V DC or via Power over
Ethernet (PoE). If both power supplies are connected, only the external 24 V power supply
unit supplies the module, the load is not distributed. The 24 V power supply unit carries
400 mA, protection with a 2 A slow-blow fuse is recommended.
For redundant voltage supply connect both an external 24 V power supply unit and Power
over Ethernet.

NOTE: Electrostatic discharge
Observe the necessary safety precautions when handling components that are
vulnerable to electrostatic discharge (EN 61340-5-1 and EN 61340-5-2).
Switch off the device before connecting cables to the device.
Only switch on the device once the housing temperature is the same as the ambient
temperature.
Connect the data line shield to the RJ45 connector housing.
The 24 V DC supply voltage is connected via the COMBICON connector provided
(FMC 1,5/2-STF-2,5, Order No. 1966091).
