Standard Function Status Register
The processing sequence can be controlled using the
corresponding standard function status bit. As soon as the
controller board recognizes the function request in the start
bit, the corresponding status bit will be set in the status
register, and will remain active during processing. The
assignment of the status bits corresponds to the assignment
of the start bits.
After processing, the standard function start bit must be reset.
Irrespective of whether or not it was possible to execute the
service successfully, the standard function status bit is reset
to 0 after processing.
The standard function result bit in the diagnostic status
register indicates whether or not the function was completed
successfully.
If the function was not completed successfully, an
appropriate error message is placed in both the
diagnostic status register and in the diagnostic
parameter register. For the meanings of error
