INPUT
Connect preamp signal cables from the head unit to these terminals.
OUTPUT
Provides a full range signal for an additional amplifier. There is no signal
loss if using this output.
LP FREQ
Controls the lowpass crossover point for the speaker outputs.
BASS BOOST
Variable bass boost from 0 to +6dB @ 45 Hz.
LOW PASS LEVEL CONTROL (LPL)
This port is for connecting the optional remote level control (LPL44).
This allows up to 20dB of volume adjustment. This is not a bass boost, it
controls the level of the low pass signal.
LEVEL
Used to reach maximum amplifier power with a wide variety of headunits.
SPEAKER OUTPUTS
Used to connect the amplifier to speakers. Minimum impedance is 1 ohm. 8 gauge
wire is required.
SUBSONIC
Controls the subsonic (highpass) crossover point for the speaker outputs to eliminate
extreme low frequencies.
PROTECT LED
Lights red if there is a problem with the audio system. For example, speaker wire is
pinched/shorted together or the amplifier is running too low of an impedance.
INPUT SLAVE/OUTPUT MASTER SWITCH
For normal use, the switch MUST be set to “OUTPUT MASTER”. If linking or strapping
two amplifiers together please see page 7 for more details. IMPORTANT: In normal or
single amplifier use there will be no output if this switch is set to “INPUT SLAVE”. Be
sure it is set to “OUTPUT MASTER”.
+12V
This must be connected to the fused positive terminal (+12V) of the car’s battery. See
page 4 for an electrical system example. 1/0 gauge wire is required.
REMOTE
This must be connected to sw12V, usually a trigger wire coming from the head
unit or ignition.
GND
This must be connected to the negative terminal of the car’s battery or bolted to a
clean, unpainted part of the chassis of the vehicle. 1/0 gauge wire is required.
COntrols
REMOTE MONITORING DISPLAY (RMD)
Connect optional RMD Voltage Display to this port.
IMPORTANT: ALL THREE POWER TERMINALS MUST
BE USED. DO NOT USE ONLY ONE OR TWO OF THE
TERMINALS, IT CAN DAMAGE THE AMPLIFIER.
