Discharging the P611
The P-611 must be discharged in the following cases:
Before Installation
When the P-611 is not in use but the electronics remain switched on to ensure
temperature stability
Before demounting (e.g., before cleaning and transporting the P-611 and for
modifications)
The P-611 is discharged via the discharge resistor inside the electronics from PI.
Discharging a Positioner Connected to the Electronics
In closed-loop operation:
1.
Switch off the servo mode on the controller.
2.
Set the piezo voltage to 0 V on the controller.
In open-loop operation:
Set the piezo voltage to 0 V on the electronics.
Discharging a Positioner not Connected to the Electronics
Connect the positioner to the switched-off electronics from PI.
