Appendix B: iQ Configuration Procedures
After mounting and installing
iQ
hardware on a piano, power up the
iQ
system. During power up, the system runs a self-diagnostic check. When the
system check is complete, you are ready to adjust the system settings using
the following system modes:
•
Learn Adjust Mode
- use this system mode to manually set each piano
key’s sound to a desired volume level.
•
Pedal Adjust Mode
- use this system mode to give the pedal solenoid the
necessary amount of power required to strike and hold the pedal properly.
•
Level Adjust Mode
- use this system mode to match or balance
iQ
’s
internal volume level with the volume level of the music player.
•
Sync Adjust Mode
- use the system mode to fine tune synchronization
timing between piano playback and accompaniment.
•
Clear System Settings
- you can clear changes made to a system
setting, return a system setting to factory default, or return all system
settings to factory default.
•
Turn on/off Auto Music Format Detection
-
iQ
automatically detects and
distinquishes between a commercial audio CD and a PianoDisc CD.
Although this feature is enabled by default, it can be turned off and back
on again.
