socket and carry out the checks as indicated in the MAINTENANCE section. If the
problem persists, contact the PiC TECHNICAL SERVICE CENTRE.
5. Observe the indicated safety rules for electrical devices, specifically:
• Only use original accessories and parts supplied by the manufacturer CA-MI in
order to guarantee maximum efficiency and safety of the appliance.
• NEVER use tap water because the lime scale could compromise proper opera-
tion of the appliance, clogging the nebuliser nozzle and the boiler-
• Check for the presence of demineralised water inside the boiler at every use.
Operating the appliance without water will trigger a breaker device which
must be manually reset.
• During use the appliance must be placed on a horizontal and stable surface
and the air vents must never be obstructed.
• Never use the appliance in environments where flammable gaseous mixtures
are present.
• Never submerge the appliance in water.
• Never touch the appliance with wet and / or damp hands.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged into the power socket when not in use.
• Do not pull or tug at the power cable to unplug it from the mains but rather
grip the power plug to remove it from the socket.
• Do not wind the power cord around itself during operation in order to prevent
dangerous overheating;
• Store and use the appliance in environments protected from atmospheric
agents and far from any heat sources.
6. This appliance must be used exclusively for the intended use for which it was
designed, in other words as a Thermal Inhaler for domestic use. Any use other
than the one for which the unit is intended is considered improper and therefore
dangerous; The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage caused by incor-
rect and/or unreasonable use or if the appliance is used in electrical systems that
do not conform to prevailing safety regulations. Do not use for purposes other
than those foreseen by the manufacturer.
7. Disposal of the medical appliance accessories must be carried out in accordance
with the specific prevailing legislation in each country.
8. Keep this manual for further consultation.
9. Disconnect the appliance from the mains, unplugging the plug and switching it
off before cleaning and / or maintenance operations.
10. On request the manufacturer will provide electrical diagrams, parts list, descrip-
tions, calibration instructions and / or any other information which may aid tech-
nical service personnel in repairing parts of the medical appliance.
