saved in the memory. If the current plasma intensity reading is lower than the one saved in the memory,
system will automatically start impedance retuning. Plasma intensity reading may vary a lot with gas
purity and samples. If the samples and a gas purity varies a lot, we recommend disable this setting. If the
user plan to run a high-power recipe for more than 5 minutes, we recommend to keep it on so that the
system will keep the plasma in the right condition. For short and lower-power recipes, it’s
recommended to turn it off.
“Slow pumping”:
For the system with slow pumping option enabled, the user can reduce the initial
pumping speed by controlling the size of the orifice on the pumping valve between the pump and the
plasma chamber. The size of the orifice is controlled by specifying the duration after the valve starts to
open. For example, if the user specifies 600ms delay time to control the size of the orifice for the slow
pumping, the system will shut off the power to the valve controller after 600ms. Once the sample
chamber has been pumped to below 1Torr, the system will turn on the power to the valve controller
again to fully open the valve. Slow pumping option can help to reduce the initial gas flow speed to
prevent light, small and powdery samples from being carried away by the strong air flow. Strong air
flow during system venting can also cause light and powdery samples to be blown away. The user can
install a low-flow rate air filter at the venting port to limit the gas flow rate during venting. Slow
pumping or slow venting can increase the pumping and venting time significantly! Please use if only if it
is necessary.
“Pressure sensor control”:
If the pressure sensor fails, the user can disable the pressure sensor and run
the plasma cleaner without the pressure sensor.
“Input gas label Editable/Locked”: I
f this setting is changed to editable, then the user can change the
gas name labels above each gas channel in the main screen. Once the label is changed to the right name,
we recommend lock the gas name label so that it won’t be modified accidentally.
