User Instructions - PIERENSTEP
Dear Customer,
We are very pleased that you have decided to purchase
a PIERENSTEP crutch system. Please read carefully all the
instructions in this manual and take note of the various
tips and recommendations. It is important to read these
instructions before using for the first time.
Important notes – Please read before using
Purpose of use
The PIERENSTEP crutches are a medical product. During
the 3 point gait you are able to control the partial
weight bearing level which has been prescribed by your
physician or therapist during the course of each step.
Incorrect weight bearing levels exerted on the crutches
are indicated acoustically by the measurement system
and/or by the incidence of vibration. Please do not use
these crutches for any other purpose.
Safety instructions
For your own safety, please read carefully and observe
the following instructions:

If the PIERENSTEP crutches are damaged so that the
function or safe use is compromised, please return
immediately to the dealer for checking.

All maintenance work and checks are to be carried
out exclusively by qualified personnel who have
received the necessary specialist training in the use
of measuring equipment with correct calibration in
accordance with the service handbook.

Please keep the crutches well away from liquids. The
infiltration of liquid into the crutches is to be avoided.
If nevertheless liquid has penetrated the crutches,
the PIERENSTEP must be thoroughly dried before
re-use and must also be subjected to a measurement
technical check.

Any deviation from these safety measures are the sole
responsibility of the user.

Please take account of the stated maximum permissible
body weight to which the crutches should be subjected.
