Technical data and general information
Care and cleaning
The PIERENSTEP crutches should be cleaned at regular
intervals. A soft, fluff-free cloth perhaps together with
a little mild cleaning agent is all that is needed for this
purpose. Please do not use any sort of cleaning agent
which contains an abrasive medium. When cleaning
please ensure that no liquid infiltrates the interior of
the crutches. Combustible cleaning agents must have
completely evaporated before the crutches can be
re-used.

Classification
The product PIERENSTEP has been designated as Class
1 in accordance with Appendix IX of the Medical Device
Directive 93/42/EEC.
Maintenance and technical safety checks
PIERENSTEP crutches may be serviced exclusively by
authorised personnel or by the manufacturer. Repairs
may be carried out exclusively by trained specialists.
Correctly calibrated and appropriate measurement
instruments must be used for zero compensation
procedures. The responsibility for the carrying out of
servicing work rests with the personnel who carry out
such work. Unauthorised service and maintenance work
compromises both the guarantee and the safe operation
of the crutches. The PIERENSTEP crutches must undergo
safety and measurement technical checks every twelve
months and these checks must be carried out by
authorised specialists. To qualify for such authorisation,
personnel must have had the necessary education,
