Check the vehicle manufacturer load limits for their factory installed roof rack.  The weight of the ladder rack 
and any ladder attached to the rack should not exceed the vehicle manufacturer load limits.   Ladder racks 
are designed to be used with one ladder only.

Always check to make sure ladders attached to the ladder rack are securely fastened with approved tie 
downs.  Always balance the load by centering the ladder over the center of your vehicle roof rack.

and ladder – parking ramps and garage doors in particular may have a lower clearance.

Periodically check the vehicle roof rack for wear or damage – if the vehicle roof rack is damaged or worn, 
immediately remove the ladder rack from the vehicle roof rack and repair or replace the vehicle roof rack.
