1.3 NOTES ON OPERATION CHECK / DIAGNOSIS

EJECT LOCK MODE for DVD mechanism
This model is equipped with an Eject Lock so that it can be shown in stores without worrying about it being stolen.
The Eject Lock can be turned ON/OFF as follows.
Simultaneously press and hold the [ HOME] and [EJECT] buttons, and reset the product or turn the ACC ON.
When the Eject Lock is turned ON, the buttons flash yellow.
When the Eject Lock is turned OFF, the buttons flash green.
Wait 35 sec after turning OFF the ACC before turning the +B OFF.

To prevent data corruption, please perform following procedure of turning off the unit especially after user data clear.
1. Turn off ACC only and wait for 35 seconds or more (35 seconds is for the termination processing).
2. Then turn off BUP.

About the reset by hard key
Initialization by reset button has the following pattern.
1. In case of short press of the button
The KEY_RST pin (152 pin) of the microcomputer changes to L => BUP OFF processing starts => Hardware reset
(reset by microcomputer software)
(* The RESET pin (16 pin) remains H)
2. In case of long press of the button (Pressing for 2 seconds or more surely starts hardware reset)
The KEY_RST pin (152 pin) of the microcomputer changes to L => BUP OFF processing starts => The RESET pin (16
pin) changes to L => Hardware reset (Forced reset by RESET pin)
*Section 2 is necessary for resetting when the microcomputer becomes abnormal (deadlock state), and it has a circuit.

About the operation of the electrostatic touch panel (AVIC-W8400NEX/XNUC, Z910DAB/XNEU5, Z910DAB/XNAU)
The response of capacitive touch panel might be affected due to the noise of switching type power supply.
Please check bellow points if the response is not good.
- Confirm the ground terminal of power supply is well grounded.
- Change the power supply to linear power type , not switching one.

When a home product is used in a vehicle (using DC/AC converter), GND on secondary side of some devices of home
products (PS etc.) becomes indefinite. If these devices are connected to the unit, GND becomes indefinite because
ISO is received and the video disordered.
If a defect is generated in a market, the land is prepared between GNDs for connecting GND of the unit sides and
VGND of input as a service.
With this product, a part of VGND pattern is thin. If it is used, insert 0.5A of fuse.
