Combining and Using Pioneer AV Equipment
When resetting AV Head Unit
When pressing the reset button of AV Head Unit
while Navigation System and AV Head Unit (AVH-
P6400CD, AVH-P6400) are combined, make sure
that ignition switch is turned off (ACC OFF). If the
reset button is pressed while ignition switch is on
(ACC ON), it may not work properly.
Before using the Remote Control
Set the dip switch correctly. Otherwise, the navi-
gation system may not operate even if the but-
tons are pressed.

Switching the operation mode
When Navigation is combined with the AV Head
Unit (AVH-P6400CD, AVH-P6400), functions (2) to
(6) and (8) remain the same even if the mode is
switched. For the other buttons, functions
change according to the setting of the mode
switch (14).
Used when operating audio
(1) PGM (DVD POWER) button
When the operation mode switch is set to
“
NAVI
”, the functions set for each source before-
hand become available. A function is preset for
each source as shown below. Sources not shown
below do not feature this function. (Depending
on the component, you can change the Prepro-
gram. For details, refer to the Head Unit’s instruc-
tions.)
NAVI :
This is set when the navigation is
mainly used.
AUDIO :
When operating the Pioneer DVD
player* combined with the AV Head
Unit, switch the Remote Control oper-
ation mode to “
AUDIO
”. When the
operation mode is set to “
AUDIO
”,
the operations for Pioneer DVD player
become possible with remote control.
*SDV-P7, XDV-P9, XDV-P90 etc.
DVD :
This is set when the DVD player
installed in the Navigation System is
mainly used.
