Instructions for Upgrading
• Read the entire manual before upgrading
the program of your navigation system.
Manual Overview
This manual is a supplementary document that
summarises the points that will be renewed after
upgrading your navigation system by using
CNDV-80MT.
For customers using AVIC-D3, AVIC-X3
By upgrading the navigation system with this
disc, following points are renewed.
– The map database
– Background images(AVIC-D3 only)
The other operations are essentially the same as
those at the time you purchased the hardware.
Use the Operation Manual included in the hard-
ware package as your primary reference.
For customers using AVIC-X1R, AVIC-
X1BT, CNDV-60M or CNDV-70M
Only the map database changes to the latest data
(all the operations are the same before).
Even if you upgrade AVIC-X1R with this disc, the
following AV functions do not become the same
as AVIC-X1BT.
– The functions on the hardware buttons
– Hands-free phoning with Bluetooth wireless
technology (TEL source)
– The functions for iPod
For customers using AVIC-X1
By upgrading AVIC-X1 with this disc, many
changes will take place including changes to the
menu configuration. For the operations other
than those described in this manual, obtain the
Operation Manual for AVIC-X1R and use it as
your primary reference.
Even if you upgrade AVIC-X1 with this disc, the
following AV functions do not become the same
as AVIC-X1BT.
– The functions on the hardware buttons
– Hands-free phoning with Bluetooth wireless
technology (TEL source)
– The operation of iPod

If you have already upgraded your AVIC-X1 by
using CNDV-50MT, you do not need to obtain
the Operation Manual for AVIC-X1R. Use the
Operation Manual supplied with CNDV-50MT
as your primary reference.

3. Enter “CNDV-50MT” and click “search”.
Related models and several language versions
will be shown.
4. Click the model number that is your desired
language version.

tioned as “DVD-map for AVIC-X1, AVIC-X1R”
in “Description.” or that is “CNDV-50MT
(AVIC-X1, AVIC-X1R)”.
5. Download the manual if desired.
The screen shown in the example may
differ from the actual screen.
The actual screen may be changed
without notice for performance and
function improvements.
