4.8 Storage of food

The operation of your appliance is described generally in the chapters
« O
PERATION
» et seq.; the following explanations will help you to store your food
properly.
Food must not get in touch with the surfaces inside the appliance directly. It has
to be wrapped separately in aluminium foil or in cellophane foil or in airtight
plastic boxes.

REEZING AND STORING OF FOOD IN THE FREEZER

To store deep-frozen food.
➢
To make ice cubes.
➢
To freeze food.
NOTICE!
Ensure that the door of the freezer has been closed properly.

URCHASING OF FROZEN FOOD

The packaging must not be damaged.
➢
Use by the „use by /best before/best by/
‟
date.
➢
If possible, transport deep-frozen food in an insulated bag and place quickly in
the freezer.

TORING OF FROZEN FOOD
➢
Store at -18 °C or colder.
➢
Avoid opening the door of the freezer unnecessarily.

REEZING OF FRESH FOOD
➢
Freeze fresh and undamaged food only.
➢
To retain the best possible nutritional value, flavour and colour, vegetables should
be blanched before freezing. Aubergines, peppers, zucchini and asparagus do not
require blanching.
NOTICE!
Keep food to be frozen away from food which is already frozen.
