Leave the appliance in an upright position for
4-6 hours
before you connect it to the
mains. This reduces the risk of malfunction of the cooling system due to the transport
of the appliance.
Let the appliance operate for 2-3 hours (normal operating temperature), before you
store your food in the appliance for the first time.
Power failures
which are corrected in 1 to 2 hours will not affect the cooling
temperature of your appliance. However, you should not open the door of the appliance
if it is not needed.
Clean the appliance thoroughly. Be very careful especially inside the appliance.
If the accessories inside the appliance are not fitted in their correct position, replace
them according to the image in chapter 8.
The appliance must be correctly connected to the mains.
Do not use an extension cord.
Do not touch the cooled surfaces while the appliance is running. Your skin can stick to
these surfaces.
Do not freeze any bottles which contain liquids, especially beverages like mineral water,
champagne, beer, cola etc. Liquids expand when they freeze and so they easily and
rapidly make bottles explode.
Do not eat any frozen foodstuff such as bread, vegetable or fruit. Eating frozen foodstuff
can cause frostbite.
If any of your foodstuff has a strange smell or colour, discard them. Such foodstuff
usually is spoiled and dangerous to consume.
Draw the plug out of the socket before you clean or maintain the appliance. Repairs
must be performed by a qualified professional.
Do not use any electric appliances to defrost your appliance. Do not remove encrusted
ice by using sharp-edged items.
