Troubleshooting

Please consult the following troubleshooting information if you have

encountered a problem during installation or operation of this product.

The HDD case does not work properly: in Device Manager, I can see a

"!" symbol right next to the driver

Please verify that the supplied AC adapter is attached to the HDD case.

The power adapter is always required whenever the HDD case is in use.

If the AC adapter is not attached yet, first remove the RX-35F from your

computer, attach the AC adapter to the HDD case, and then reattach the

RX-35F to the computer.

The computer does not detect the drive even though I have already

installed the driver.

If you are using a newly purchased HDD, a DOS partition needs to be

created in the drive and it needs to be formatted as well.  Refer to

Chapter 5 and complete these tasks.

The copying speed is somewhat slower compared with an ordinary IDE

(UltraATA) connection

Due to the IEEE1394 and product specifications, it is normal that the

data transfer speed via IEEE1394 is lower than that via IDE.
