Thickness of the flange to be checked in compliance with the drawing, current legislation and with the
maintenance schedule for the
RR 14 EVO 2-400 Hybrid
, as follows:
4.1 -
With the face
(A)
resting on the back of the flange and the face
(B)
perpendicular to the back,
keep the control gauge radial to the wheel and move it on the profile.
4.2 -
The profile is still acceptable if along the entire circumference of the wheel the gauge remains in
contact only with the profile of the flange.
Use a go/no go caliper compliant to the wheel installed to check the height of the flange.

Make sure that there are no steps in the profile of the flange higher than
1,5 mm
.
6 -
The diameter of the railway wheel should never be less than
540 mm
.
7 -
A maximum difference in the diameter of the wheels of
± 3 mm
is allowed, between railway wheels on
the same axle.
Carry out the measurement on
3
different points.
