ASSEMBLY

• Tighten blade nut:

- Lower edger until blade

touches ground as shown.

- Hold opposite end of blade

spindle with wrench.

- Tighten nut to 39 N-m

(4.0kg-m).

Add Engine Oil

Do not check or add oil

when engine is running

Edger is shipped without

oil in engine. Add oil

before operating edger.

A. Dipstick

• Put edger on a level surface and

clean area around dipstick .

• Adjust cutting depth lever so

engine is level.

• Remove dipstick and add

approximately 0.41 L oil.

• Install and tighten dipstick.

Fill Fuel Tank

Do not mix oil with

gasoline. Use a clean fuel

container.

• Remove fuel tank cap.

• Fill tank with clean fresh

unleaded regular grade gasoline.

Blade is sharp and can

cut you. Help avoid

injury before you tighten

blade nut:

Stop engine. Let engine

cool.

Wear gloves or wrap

blade with rag.
