The following describes how you can check if the scanner is properly functioning
with your computer and the scanning software. Before testing your scanner, double
check to make sure that all connections are securely fastened.
To test the flatbed scanning:
1. Open the scanner’s document cover and place a book, head toward the
scanner button panel, on the scanner glass. Align the book with the
mark
on the scanner.
2. Gently close the document cover.
3. Double-click the icon
in the Windows system tray.
4. Within the “Book Pavilion” window, you may adjust the scan settings by clicking
Mode Setting
. Also, you can configure the save settings of the scanned
images.
5. Press
the
Color
,
Gray
or
B/W
button on the scanner panel.
6. The scanner starts to scan immediately and carry out the corresponding action
according to the settings you have set up in the Book Pavilion window.

Your scanner is TWAIN compliant and functions with virtually all available TWAIN
compatible software. If you purchase additional software to be used with your scanner,
please make sure that it conforms to the TWAIN standard.
