Fire protection
• PNI solar photovoltaic modules have fire resistance class C.
• When photovoltaic modules are mounted on roofs, the roof must have a
fire-resistant coating suitable for this application.
• Photovoltaic modules are devices that generate electricity that can affect
the fire safety of a building. The use of improper installation methods or
defective parts can lead to the unexpected appearance of an electric arc
during operation.
• To reduce the risk of fire, photovoltaic modules must not be installed near
liquids, flammable gases or places with hazardous materials.
• In the event of a fire, photovoltaic modules may continue to produce a
dangerous voltage, even if they have been disconnected from the inverter,
have been partially or completely destroyed, or the system wiring has been
compromised or destroyed.
• In case of fire, inform the fire crew and stay away from all elements of the
photovoltaic system during and after the fire until the necessary measures
have been taken to ensure the safety of the photovoltaic system.
Mounting restrictions
PNI photovoltaic modules must be mounted on mounting structures positioned
on buildings, ground or other structures suitable for photovoltaic modules.
Photovoltaic modules must not be mounted on moving vehicles.
Photovoltaic modules should not be installed in places where they could be
submerged in water.
Photovoltaic modules should not be placed in places where aggressive
substances, such as salt (or salt water) or any other type of corrosive agent,
could affect the safety or performance of photovoltaic modules.
Artificial concentrated light should not be directed at photovoltaic modules.
We recommend that the photovoltaic modules be mounted at an angle of
inclination of at least 10 degrees to allow self-cleaning under rain showers.
