Partial or complete shading of a module can significantly reduce system
performance. We recommend minimizing the amount of shade throughout
the year to increase the amount of energy produced by photovoltaic modules.
Lightning protection is recommended for photovoltaic systems to be installed
in locations with a high probability of lightning. High system voltages can be
induced in the event of indirect lightning, which could damage the components
of the photovoltaic system.
The open area of the wiring loops must be kept to a minimum, as shown in the
figure below, to reduce the risk of lightning-induced overvoltages.
A
B
A - ideal wiring loop
B - higher risk of lightning-induced overvoltage
Electrical configuration
Under normal conditions, a photovoltaic module may face conditions that
produce more current or voltage than that reported under standard test
conditions (STC: 1000 W / m2, AM 1.5 and 25 ° C cell temperature). The
short-circuit current (ISC) must be multiplied by a factor of 1.25, and the
open-circuit voltage (VOC) must be multiplied by a factor of up to 1.25, based
on the lowest ambient temperature recorded at the installation location to
determine the nominal voltage of the components. , the rated current of the
conductor, the dimensions of the fuses and the size of the controls connected
