Printer will not come on or print
Hardware checks
1. Check the power cable going into the right side of the back of the Hewlett Packard printer.
2. Check the data cable (USB) going into the right side on the back of the Hewlett Packard
printer.
3. Turn off the main power switch on the left rear of the cart. Place a box or something that is
about the same height as the bottom of the cart and slowly pull the pc out onto the box to
check all connections. Verify that the AC adapter for the printer is securely connected to the
surge protector.
4. Check the back of the computer to see that the USB cable is securely connected.
5. Check the printer cartridges as described in the Hewlett Packard material, which came with
the printer (located in the accessories box).
Software Checks
1. Close
BodyAge.
2. Click
Start.
3. Go to Printers.
4. With the mouse, highlight the printer you are using and click the right mouse button.
5. Go to Properties and click the left mouse button.
6. The printer should be checked as being the default printer. If it is not, click on the default.
7. Write down any error codes, as this will be helpful in identifying any problem.
