WHEEL NUTS

2. Inspect the front and rear wheel nuts for tightness.

Re-torque wheel nuts monthly to specification.

Wheel Nut Torque:

22-29 ft.lbs (30-40 Nm)

TRANSMISSION
LUBRICATION

The transmission lubricant level should be checked
and changed in accordance with the maintenance
schedule.
Remember to:

Be sure vehicle is level before

proceeding.

Check vent hose to be sure it is

routed properly and unobstructed.

TRANSMISSION SPECIFICATIONS

To check the level:

The gearcase fill plug (A) is located on the top of the
gearcase. The sight glass (B) is on the right-hand side
of the gearcase. The oil level must be maintained in
the safe zone of the sight glass. It should be checked
monthly and changed annually.

With the ATV on a level surface, check the oil level
through the sight glass. If the level is low, add Polaris
Premium Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant. See page
1.6 for the part numbers of Polaris-recommended
products.
