•

•

o

o
Total number of RPP-registered patients.
If you wish to view patient totals broken down by Q codes, a pop-up box can be
displayed from this screen, as described on the next page.
GPs in Abeyance
If a GP is in abeyance, the capitation figures can be displayed on the GC screen in the
normal way, but the following message will be displayed on the 2nd line of the
screen:
*** GP IN ABEYANCE ***
In addition, the code of the GP(s) who has/have taken over this GP’s patients will be
displayed at the bottom of the screen, with percentage figures showing the number of
patients taken over by each GP. For example:
In abeyance to 000017 (100%) or In abeyance to 000298 (64%) 000109 (36%)
Patients Taken Over from Another GP’s List
For a GP who is wholly or partially responsible for another GP’s patient list (as a
result of an abeyance): either the patient numbers for this GP alone (without the
abeyance) can be displayed, by entering just this GP’s code as a qualifier for the GC
screen; or the patient number totals including the abeyance can be displayed, by
entering this GP’s code followed by
,A
as a qualifier.
If the GP code followed by
,A
is entered, a line such as
Inc. abeyance 000043
(100%)
will be displayed at the bottom of the GC screen, to show that this GP has
taken over all the patients of GP 000043, who is in abeyance, and that the capitation
figures shown include these patients.
If, as a result of abeyance(s), the GP is responsible for all or part of the patient list of
one or more other GPs, one of the following messages will be displayed on line 2 of
the screen:
GP RESPONSIBLE FOR ABEYANCE
– SEE B1 SCREEN FOR XXXXXX
The GP is currently responsible for all
or part of another GP’s list (this GP
being in a state of Abeyance). The
code of the other GP is XXXXXX, and
details of the abeyance can be seen by
calling up screen B1 with a qualifier of
XXXXXX (Section 9, Chapter 2 of this
manual).
