Directions to Set the Parameter Screen
1.
Enter
Y
to make the title of male and female patients mandatory. For
patients of indeterminate sex, the title is always optional.
Enter
N
to leave the title for all patients optional.

Enter
Y
to enable the system to automatically update the
M/R status
field to FGP whenever a movement code of PT or PX has been assigned.
Enter
N
or leave this field blank to if you do not wish the M/R status to
be automatically updated to FGP.

to turn
ON
the option to allow patients to be added to a GP in
abeyance when the patients’ date added is after the GP’s end date.

to turn
OFF
the option to allow patients to be added to a GP in
abeyance when the patients’ date added is after the GP’s end date.

The
Bulk Transfer Letter Information
fields are free text fields. There
are no defaults on set up, and users must take care to check that the fields
have been set up correctly before initiating a Bulk Transfer with Letters
run.
Enter the Name of the person sending the letter, e.g. J. Smith OR Jane
Smith.
Enter the Title of the person sending the letter, e.g. Registration
Manager.
Enter the name of the person dealing with the matter in the
Matter being
dealt by
field, e.g. TOM BROWN.

By default, the cursor position when you first enter the MR screen is the
Key
field. If you want to change this default position to the
Quick
Update
field (to match the functionality of the now obsolete M1 screen),
enter
Y
in the
Default cursor position to Quick Update field on MR
Screen (Y/N)?
field.

Press
Enter

MEANING / ACTION
Invalid Character
You have entered an invalid character in either the
patient title, status code, abeyance or default cursor
fields.
Enter ‘Y’ or ‘N’.
If the highlighted field is “Name”, “Title” or “Matter
being dealt by”, the error is being caused by the use of
a reserved character. Check the field does not contain
one of the following characters.
