NOTE:
After step 1, steps 2, 3, and 4 must be done within 30 seconds of
each other to protect the integrity of the READY MODE starting
sequence.
MULTI-CAR OPERATION
The PS-2765 systems feature multi-car operation. This allows the owner of
two Polarstart systems in two of his/her vehicles to control both systems with
one transmitter. (Both vehicles must be equipped with a PS-2765) The remote
transmitter of the primary vehicle can control the starter disable system, the
door locks and the remote car starter and trunk operation of the second vehicle.
The remote transmitter of the second vehicle can also operate the primary
vehicle

Pressing the two following buttons simultaneously controls LOCK:
Pressing the two following buttons simultaneously control UNLOCK:
Pressing the following two buttons simultaneously controls remote start/stop
EXITING READY MODE
Once a vehicle has successfully been put into READY MODE, any of the
following events will cause it to exit READY MODE:
1. Opening a door *
2. Pressing
brakes
3. Disengaging Parking brake
4. Opening
hood
5. Turning off valet switch
* NOTE:
Opening a door while engine is running by remote starter will not
cause vehicle to shut off, but it will cause it to exit READY MODE.
Vehicle must again be set into READY MODE in order to start again by
remote starter.
REMOTE DOOR LOCKS
If your system was installed with remote door locks, you will have the
convenience of remote keyless entry. To UNLOCK you doors, press and hold
Unlock Button 1 for about 1 sec. Once the doors have unlocked the Parking
lights will flash twice to confirm that the doors are unlocked. (
Also disarming
your starter kill.)
To LOCK your doors, press Lock Button on your remote. When the doors
have locked, the Parking lights will flash once.
(Arming the starter kill.)
REMOTE TRUNK RELEASE OR GARAGE DOOR CONTROL
The Polarstart has the ability to control the trunk release or an external garage door
opener system. (Option). If your Polarstart was installed with the power trunk
release option, you can pop your trunk with LOCK & START Button of the remote
transmitter. If your Polarstart was installed with the garage door option, the garage
door can be opened by simply pressing on LOCK & START Button when in front
of the garage door.
STARTER KILL OPTION
If your Polarstart was installed with the starter kill option, you will not be able to
start your vehicle with the keys unless the system has been disarmed first. This
option works with the door lock sequence. If you did not get the door locks
installed, ignore the reference to the door locks operation below.
To disarm the starter kill system, press and hold Unlock Button to unlock the
doors. When the system has been disarmed, you will get two quick flashes through
the Parking lights.
NOTE
: Locking the doors will rearm the starter kill unit. Once
the system has been disarmed, you will have approximately 45 seconds to insert the
key in the ignition, turn it to the ON position and start the engine.
Once the engine
has been turned off, the system will rearm in 45 sec.
SAFETY FEATURES
Polarstart is equipped with a Valet switch (ON / OFF) make sure that all users of the
vehicle know the location of the switch.
You should turn the switch OFF when:
•
Servicing Vehicle
•
Parking indoors (Garage)
•
If there are problems with the remote starter.
When the switch is turned ON, the Parking lights will flash twice to confirm that the
car-starter is in operation. Polarstart is equipped with a pin switch in the engine
compartment. When the hood is raised, the PS-2765 is disabled. A faulty pin switch
can disable the remote starter. Make sure the pin switch is in good working
condition for reliable starts.
COLD WETHEAR STARTS
The Polarstart has a feature that allows your vehicle to start every two hours for 4
minutes. This helps keep the engine warm during cold weather and makes starting
easier. To place the Polarstart into cold weather mode, press and hold START
Button for about 5 sec.
SECURE LOCK
Secure lock is for cars that arm and disarm off the lock and unlock wires.
(I.e…VW’s) When secure lock is activated it will unlock the doors prior to remote
start the car. Once the car is started it will relock the doors. (Usually not rearming
the factory security). After remote shutdown or run time out it will relock the doors
again. (Rearming factory security)
