• Do not pull or tug cables or subject them to tension (by
twisting, crushing or stretching). Keep them away from hot
and/or sharp surfaces and parts. Avoid contact with the hot
iron plate or closing in doors or windows. Do not pull cables

FILLING APPLIANCES WITH A SAFETY CAP
• Immediately after the cap has been opened, while the boiler
is still hot, wait before filling the appliance, even if it has been
unplugged from the mains. On contact with the hot, empty
boiler, cold water will evaporate and produce a spray of
steam, which can cause burns where it contacts the skin. Only
fill the boiler when it is cold, and always keep your face away
from the mouth of the boiler when filling.
• If water runs out during ironing, proceed as follows:
- Turn off the boiler switch (
), if present.
- Make sure that there is absolutely no water, and therefore no
steam, left by pressing the button on the iron.
- Switch the appliance off and unplug it from the mains.
- Wait 10 minutes and then, keeping your face well away from
the cap and the mouth of the boiler, remove the safety cap
by unscrewing it without using force. (***)
- Leave the appliance to cool down for at least 10 more
minutes.
- Fill the boiler back up with water as described in the
instructions, never by placing it directly below running water.
- Put the safety cap back on, checking that it is fully tightened.
(***) ATTENTION: If, while unscrewing it, the cap spins freely
or if steam is escaping, stop the operation immediately and
make sure that the appliance is switched off with the cable
unplugged from the mains. Then, wait for the appliance to
cool down (at least 2 hours) and unscrew the cap before
