1a. Open the roller shutter cover (
13
) by mo-
ving downwards as shown in fig. 1.
2a. Fit the flex holder (
12
) to the appliance.
Place the combined steam iron flex (
8
)
into the support (fig. 2).
3a. Pull the tank cap (
1
) upwards and fill the
tank with about 1 litre of water, making
sure that it does not overflow (fig.3).
Normal tapwater can be used. However,
as hard water by its nature contains li-
mestone, which may cause a build-up of
limescale in the tank, in hard water areas
we recommend the use of our natural-
base decalcifier KALSTOP, available
from Polti dealers or by mail order from
your Polti Service Centre.
4a. Put the tank cap (
1
) back in its place.
5a. Insert the removable supply cable plug
(
9
) into the built-in socket on the ap-
pliance (fig.4). Plug the appliance into an
earthed power supply of the correct vol-
tage (fig. 5).
IMPORTANT: always make sure that the
“continuous steam jet” button (
10a
) is
not switched on.
6a. Switch on the boiler and iron by pressing
the switches (
2
) and (
3
). The pressure
indicator light (
5
) will light up (fig. 6).
The noise emitted on switching on your ap-
pliance and periodically during use, is due to
the water refilling system and is quite normal.
