CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT
This appliance is intended for domestic use as a
steam generator, in accordance with the
descriptions and instructions contained in this
manual. Please read these instructions carefully
and keep them for future reference.
Polti S.p.A. declines all liability for any dama-
ge or accident deriving from any use of this
appliance which is not in conformity with the
instructions contained in this booklet.

The crossed-out wastebasket symbol
on the appliance means that at the end
of its useful lifespan, the product must
be disposed of separately from ordi-
nary household wastes.
The user is responsible for delivering the
appliance to an appropriate collection facility at
the end of its useful lifespan.
Appropriate separate collection to permit recy-
cling, treatment and environmentally compatible
disposal helps prevent negative impact on the
environment and human health and promotes
recycling of the materials making up the product.
For more information on available collection faci-
lities, contact your local waste collection service
or the shop where you bought this appliance.
IMPORTANT
Before leaving our factory all our products are
rigorously tested. This is the reason why your
Vaporetto may contain some residual water in
the tank.
PREPARATION
• Remove the appliance from the packaging,
checking that the product is whole and that all
the parts are there.
• Insert the handle into the specific opening on
the appliance (
A
)(Fig. 1), making sure that the
pin on the handle lines up with the hole on the
appliance (Fig. 1a).
• Unscrew the screw (
B
) from the appliance (
A
),
using an appropriate screwdriver. Connect the
appliance (
A)
to the brush (
10
) and tighten the
screw (
B
) (Fig. 2).
Warning: Check every so often that the
screw is tight.
• Remove the water tank (

) from the appliance
pulling it upward (Fig. 3). Unscrew the cap
with the water take-up hose and remove it
from the tank (Fig. 4).
• Fill the tank with water using the jug supplied
(Fig. 5). Water by its nature contains limesca-
le which, as time goes by, can cause pro-
blems. To protect your appliance, use demine-
ralised water.
Do not add other substances or additives to
the tank.
• Screw the cap with the water take-up hose
back on the tank and hook it back on the
appliance (Fig. 6).
• Position the cloth (

) under the brush (Fig.
7) and fasten it by pulling the cord (Fig. 8).
Warning: Do not use the appliance without
the cloth.
USE
• Plug the power lead (

) into a suitable socket
with an earth connection. The power indicator
light will come on (
8
).
• The power indicator light (
8
) will remain on
constantly indicating that the appliance is con-
nected to the mains.
• Wait for the pressure indicator lamp (
9
) to
come on. At this point the appliance is ready
for use.
• To release the brush (
10
) from the appliance,
put your foot on the brush (
10
) and at the
same time tilt the handle (
1
) (Fig. 10). To block
it again, just return it to the original position
(Fig. 10).
• Press the steam button (
2
) to dispense steam.
To stop it, release the steam button (
2
).
• Clean the floors by moving the brush forward
and backward.
• To clean rugs and carpets, rest the brush (with
