• Firmware Update (or Boot) Server
. HTTP or TFTP server holding binary
firmware images for remote firmware upgrading of the telephones. In
addition the server makes textual release description available for the end
user through the phone’s user interface.
• InfoPush Server
. Consists of a SIP client that can send SIP MESSAGEs
containing compiled Wireless Markup Language (WMLc) decks.
Optionally the InfoPush server can embed a SIP REGISTRAR.

for information on how
to develop a contetn server.
• InfoBrowse Server
. Stores a possibly dynamic web tree of WMLc decks
containing info-browse information.
These servers can be placed either on the Internet or on a corporate local area
network (LAN). For more information on Polycom’s suggested server
configuration, refer to
Setting Up the Boot Server
on page
3-2
.
Note
The InfoPush Server and InfoBrowse Server are optional and not available at the
default setting.

As the firmware update (or boot) server and the configuration server location are
configured by a common configuration parameter, they must be placed on the
same IP address/DNS. For more information, refer to
