Verify that the linkage lubricator regulator is set at 5 to 20 psi (.3 to 1.4 bars).

Verify that the shuttle valve regulator is set at 20 to 30 psi (1.38 to 2.06 bars).

Setting the Sewing Speed
The PFM-4000 Flange Machine sewing speed is set at 4000 rpm by the factory
prior to shipping.
Sewing speed is controlled manually by the main sewing pedal position. Pressing
the main sewing pedal to its full forward position achieves the maximum speed
of 4000 rpm. Reducing the forward pressure of the foot on the main sewing pedal
decreases the sewing speed.
The factory programs the automatic sewing speed through the control box located
beneath the sewing table.
To decrease the programmed sewing speed:

Locate the program keys on the lower left side of the control box (

Press the “C” key to reduce the number setting until the desired speed is
achieved.
To increase the programmed sewing speed:

Press the “D” key to increase the number setting until the desired sewing
speed is achieved.
CAUTION:
Contact authorized maintenance personnel or a Porter
International service technician if the regulators need
adjustment. Do not attempt to adjust them yourself.
IMPORTANT!
The maximum setting on the “C” key is “99.” This indicates
4000 rpm. A “50” setting indicates approximately 50% of
the maximum sewing speed, or 2000 rpm.
