OVERVIEW
SCOPE
The POS Box series of PB-7700 system is an exquisite POS business machine
developed by Posiflex for application in full featured discrete POS system that supports
very high degree of freedom in selecting each component in the system. The Posiflex
POS boxes are basically structured as all-in-one PC on one hand while on the other
they are designed and manufactured to meet the high end demand on POS system. This
series operates on Celeron compatible CPU of 1 GHz and presents extra freedom in
choice of the power management kit when compared to its predecessors. However,
NVSRAM is no longer available in this series.
The PB range incorporates all the advances of personal computer technology
within a compact and rugged housing designed for use in a hostile retail environment.
Furthermore, the PB systems support the most important factors in POS business:
security and convenience. In PB7700 systems, there are 4 COM ports with DC power
support for peripheral devices in POS application. There is also a power supply
connector to support 1 Posiflex POS printer to work with the PB system without need
for separate power source. Moreover, the access to the whole enclosure and also the
optional FDD is secured by a keylock. On top of all the above, the PB7700 system
supports an option of power management kit that contains 1 CR port and the most
advanced UPS functions. The UPS functions can safeguard the POS operation against
intermittent power failure, careless touch on the power switch, and to support
unmanned remote account consolidation operation, etc.. The CR port can control 1 or 2
Posiflex printer drive type cash drawers with status sensibility.
